Poulenc
Francis Jean Marcel Poulenc (1899-1963) was a French composer and pianist. While Poulenc composed works for Ballet, Orchestra, and Chamber Music, his works for Solo Piano are perhaps some of his most well-known. His piano work is at times inventive and playful, rich and nostalgic, and always distinctively French.
Poulenc is perhaps the most enduring of the group known as "Les Six", a term coined by critic Henri Collet to describe the group of 6 composers in Montparnasse in the 1920's.

Some of his most notable works for piano include:

Mouvements Perpetuels: 1918

Five Impromptus: 1920-21

Trois Novelettes: 1927-28

Improvisations: 1932
